Bing Chen Day Pillar

Sun on wet ground, turning damp into fertile. Unusually good at converting a bad situation into a usable one.

Sand: it will not hold a shape, and it covers more ground than anything that does.

In the sixty-pillar cycle each image is shared by exactly two pillars. 丙辰 shares Earth of the Sands with 丁巳, though the two differ in polarity, animal and hidden stems.

Bǐng carries the image of the sun. That is this pillar's baseline; the branch it is paired with decides the rest.

Chén is Earth, yang in polarity, and carries the Dragon.
