In the sixty-pillar cycle each image is shared by exactly two pillars. 己酉 shares Earth of the Post Road with 戊申, though the two differ in polarity, animal and hidden stems.

Jǐ carries the image of cultivated field soil. That is this pillar's baseline; the branch it is paired with decides the rest.
