Wu Shen Day Pillar

A mountain yielding ore — massive and productive at once. Solid, and it still delivers.

The earth of a highway between stations: it exists to carry people somewhere else.

In the sixty-pillar cycle each image is shared by exactly two pillars. 戊申 shares Earth of the Post Road with 己酉, though the two differ in polarity, animal and hidden stems.

Wù carries the image of a mountain. That is this pillar's baseline; the branch it is paired with decides the rest.

Shēn is Metal, yang in polarity, and carries the Monkey.

Hidden stems: every branch conceals stems of its own, in descending weight — Gēng Metal (60%), Rén Water (30%), Wù Earth (10%).
