Xin Wei Day Pillar

A worked jewel still covered by earth. The ground both feeds it and hides it: the value is real, the being-seen is a matter of timing.

The ground beside a road: everyone walks on it, few notice it, and the road needs it.

In the sixty-pillar cycle each image is shared by exactly two pillars. 辛未 shares Roadside Earth with 庚午, though the two differ in polarity, animal and hidden stems.

Xīn carries the image of worked metal — jade, a finished jewel. That is this pillar's baseline; the branch it is paired with decides the rest.

Wèi is Earth, yin in polarity, and carries the Goat.

Hidden stems: every branch conceals stems of its own, in descending weight — Jǐ Earth (60%), Dīng Fire (30%), Yǐ Wood (10%).
