Jia Chen Day Pillar

A tree on rich ground, with everything it needs underfoot. Things come easily, and easily enough that effort can quietly stop.

In the sixty-pillar cycle each image is shared by exactly two pillars. 甲辰 shares Fire of the Shaded Lamp with 乙巳, though the two differ in polarity, animal and hidden stems.

Jiǎ carries the image of a tall standing tree. That is this pillar's baseline; the branch it is paired with decides the rest.

Chén is Earth, yang in polarity, and carries the Dragon.
